The first meeting between Spin Robotics and BOSCH Thermotech was at Automatica June 22, where we had a productive dialogue regarding implementation of solutions for the automatization of the assembly process with cobots. BOSCH saw a great opportunity with our solution, which initiated a collaboration between BOSCH and Spin Robotics.

The Challenge

The challenge for this case is that BOSCH Thermotechnik is facing 10 insertions per item with limited space. Their goal is to improve ergonomics standards for their employees and create a more meaningful and satisfying work environment. Automation, high-performance solutions, 100% safety, and sustainable solutions are key priorities for BOSCH Thermotechnik. The challenge involves finding a solution for their energy manufacturing system that can reach narrow spaces, and work site-by-site with the team, without any safety shielding.

The Solution

Spin Robotics offers a solution with the world’s first fully collaborative screwdriving solution, integrated with Universal Robots. Our system provides safety features and ensuring a 360-degree safety function from robot to EOAT-application. The collaborative screwdriving solution connects humans and robots without the need for safety shielding.
