From start-up to Scale-up: Spin Robotics is now ready to conquer the European market.
The Funen robot company, Spin Robotics, which won the Odense Robotics Start-up of the Year, is now ready to present at the Automatica Fair in Munich 2022. New investors have made it possible to start to journey farther into the European market. The success has given the company new invigoration to venture farther into other EU countries. Therefore, at the start of 2022, Spin Robotics chose to recruit a CSO along with a newly established sales team, which in just a few months has already taken the company to completely new heights – in both the Danish and European markets.
Spin Robotics is experiencing great demand from some of the largest companies in Denmark and the EU, and is already well represented in the production at some of Denmark's largest companies. The pace is high at the (Funen robot scale up), which in addition to its success with establishment on the Danish market, is in the process of expanding the network of distributors throughout the EU, with new distributors in Austria, France, Slovakia, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Czechia, Hungary and Poland.
New processes: User-friendly set-up, data and increased versatility
The All-in-one-tool is an advanced fully automatic EOAT (End Of Arm Tooling) screwdriver – ensures collaborative and safe production, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, increased productivity, better working conditions and maximum traceability in production. Innovation and improvements go hand in hand and with that in mind, Spin Robotics has focused on the handheld screw process itself, which usually contains more than one tool, therefore versatility has been the highest priority. With the automatic Bit Changer, they have succeeded in showing the necessary versatility of their fully automated tool, especially with the replacement of Bits, and how optimizing this in the long term will further increase productivity.
In addition, Spin Robotics has been working on a user-friendly setup, so the customer experience will be simpler and more straightforward, alongside an increased data collection in their SpinBridge. The enormous potential of using data makes distributors and end-customers see the great opportunities offered by a fully integrated collaborative solution. The data collection ensures, among other things, quality control of items that have had screws inserted as well as analysis of historical data.
Dreams and goals are big at Spin Robotics
The dreams of expansion outside the EU are no further into the future than Spin Robotics can start to feel the wheels are turning. Their skilled sales team has already acquired the first distributor outside the EU – namely in India: "and it doesn't stop here", says Teit Silberling. The goal is to hit the U.S. and further expand the Asian market from the end of 2022. After 3 years, Spin Robotics can safely say that the engine is running at full steam, and the company is scaling up, and Teit Silberling and Thomas Sølund are determined to achieve their goals and dreams.
