Riding on a Wave of Success: Spin Robotics Celebrates Again

Odense: For a moment, life as an entrepreneur seemed like a dance of bubbles, funky jazz, and confetti as more than 500 people from Odense's entrepreneurial community celebrated themselves, their great ideas, and the many entrepreneurs who work hard every day to make a difference with their business ideas.
For a moment, they forgot the long working days, the many different hats, and the challenges of raising capital for the development that precedes any commercial success.
Instead, the Odin Award at Dok5000 provided time and space to celebrate everything and everyone who succeeds.
This was especially true for Spin Robotics, which won the main prize of 40,000 DKK, beating Audite Robotics and Clever Cost. The winning company has developed and launched two screwdrivers for collaborative robots and already has 40 distributors primarily in Europe, but also in India, China, and Australia, and is also on its way to the US.
Søren Kristensen from Opus Group, who presented the award on behalf of the jury, emphasized both the innovative power and the fact that SpinRobotics already has concrete customers and distributors. And then, director Teit Silberling could give high-fives to the entire team on stage.
"It's a jury of active business people and investors who have assessed and recognized us for what we have developed and achieved so far. It means a lot and is another stamp of approval. It started with the Odense Robotics Startup Award, then we got Esben Østergaard as an investor, and now we have won the Odin Award. It's huge," says Teit Silberling.
Humaid, who has developed a digital sign language interpreter, was celebrated as the winner of OdinTech, while Crateit, which makes creative toys and has them produced by adults with intellectual disabilities, won Odin Concept.
The youngest entrepreneurs were also celebrated with the Odin Young prize, which went to students from Sct. Hans School, who have worked to recycle teddy bears and use them to teach the youngest elementary school students about letters and numbers.
